Tomb of Pennut

The tomb near the temple of Amada is the only one, which is removed and relocated to save it from the rising waters of Lake Nasser. He was a son of Herunefer and he lived during the reign of Ramses VI, which is depicted in a cartouche in the tomb. He held the titles “Deputy of Wawat”, “Head of the quarries”, “High Priest of the temple of Horus of Aniba”. He was married to a woman, called Takha, a singer in the temple of Horus of Aniba, daughter of Patjaumedimontu.
