This is the ceremonial temple of Ramses 2 and completely cut out of the rock. The whole complex contains in fact 2 temples, of which the nothern smaller one was dedicated to Hathor and his wife Nefertari.
Ik the mid sixties both temples were endangered by flodding and were relocated on higher ground
