Temple of Amada

This small temple is built by Thutmose III and his son Amenhetep II. The first part is completely built by mud-brick, so it needed a special plan to move the whole building. It could not be taken apart like Philae or Abu Simbel, because the delicate clay material would not survive it. So the French created a rail underneath and transported the complete temple several hundred yards up the hill.
