Temple of Dakka

Approximately 1 km from the temple at Wadi es Sebua there is the temple of Dakka. It is one of the temples which was moved because of the building of the Aswan dam. It originally stood at ad Dakka but was moved to this place. It is a late chapel, built by Meroictic King Arqamani and was dedicated to the god Thoth. Then in the 3rd century BC the chapel was enlarged by Ptolemy IV and XI and later by Augustus and Tiberius.
