Khonsu (TT31)
The tomb of Khonsu, which was cut in the side of a small courtyard at Abdl Qurna, dates back to the reign of Ramses 2. He was the First Prophet in the Temple of Amon, and was the son of the First Prophet of the memorial Temple of Amonhotep 3. Although damaged the restorations at the doorjamb show Khonsu and his mother Tausert, his son and one of his two wives, leaving the tomb into the daylight. Khonsu is wearing the typical leopardskin on a highranking priest while his mother and wife are holding sistras. It is a small tomb from a middleclass man. In the first chamber we can see a great part of his family, grandmother, mother and daughter.
At the leftwall we see both the faraohs Thutmosis 3 and Ramses 2 at the sides of the shrine of Monthu.
