The tomb of Ramses 7 is the first tomb one engages, entering the Valley of the Kings. It is a rather small tomb, typical Ramesside, with a short entrance passage leading towards the burial chamber. The tomb has been open since antiquity and was empty. The walls over the passage contain scenes of the Book of the Gates and the Book of the Cavers, very much alike that of Ramses 6, but less in quality. The burial chamber has scenes of the goddess Weret-hekau and Sekhmet-Bubastis-Weret-hekau. In the middele of the burial chamber there are the remainns of a pink Assoean granite coffin with figures of Isis, Nephtys, Selkis and the four sons of Horus in green paint. The mummy has never been found or indentified among the found mummies at the DB320 cache. Beautiful colored tomb
Status: Open, glass since June 2003 its no longer allowed to take pictures
